My work is driven by the process of building, layering , and then working back into what is laid down. There is a strong physicality in the art process which is a key element throughout my work. Color is becoming more important as I invoke aspects of color theory being interested in how we respond to color. There is interest in how pieces work together as I explore working in multiples.
Although there are elements which reflect architecture, geography or landscapes these are secondary to the content. My belief by working with primarily abstract shapes is for the viewer to interact with the piece with little visual references of known objects. This creates a personal inner dialog between the viewer and the work of art.
